Volkswagon Jetta wagon TDI vs Honda CRV vs Subaru Forrester. Looking for a family vehicle (1 child), with the following in mind: Fuel efficiency, price, repair history, spacious, high safety ratings, good resale value, etc. What would YOU buy and why?
The VW probably has the better MPG because the Honda is higher and the Subaru is AWD. The Jetta is also probably the least expensive. The Honda in my opinion is the best to repair, it isn’t that hard to find parts for a Honda. Honda is also the biggest and more spacious. They are all very safe. Honda’s have a great resale value. So I would get either the Honda because I gave it 3 out of 6 or the Jetta. In your situation though I would get the Jetta.

I bought a Subaru because I felt it was the best of what I was looking for. I really like the fact that its resale value was higher than most other cars in its class.
Now that I have it, I love it. I get about 25 mpg local and it fits everything I need to it to hold. It handles really well too.

I would buy the Forrester. I work at a vw/su dealership in service, and there are too many recalls and problems on the vws. Hondas are reliable and what not, but they just dont drive the same as a subaru. Forrester is AWD so u cant hate the feel when u drive it. Its roomy and they’re known to last a while as long as you keep up with matinenance. The CRV also has that big blind spot in the corner, which I hate when driving and getting out of parking.
