My parents … My parents purchased a 1969 Ford Country Squire Wagon in the Spring of ’72. Green with the wood siding, a 390 2 bbl engine. The specs. said 270 hp and 10:5 compression ratio. A good, torquey work horse engine. Good memories in that car. It had only 60k miles on it in Feb. of ’79 when it was rear ended by a Subaru Brat.
We had one of these … We had one of these when I was a kid. Maroon, with “wood” paneling. We used to hop out to watch the lights go off. Black vinyl interior got hot as hades.

bought one of these in 1969. 390 4 bbl. green no wood. love that car. back had side bench seats which me and my twinn brother always got to sit on trips. can you see 5 brats in a ford station wagon going on a long trip.
Thanks, your video … Thanks, your video really brought back great memories. My mother had a white 1969 Ford LTD Country Squire with the 390 V-8, it was a special part of the family. We had so many good trips and times in that car – I’ll never forget it. We drove it to the ground. The concealed headlamps were really neat, and I remember hopping from the back to the middle to the front and back having a blast – it was so roomy. Yikes, who used seatbelts in 1969? Thanks for posting, and hold on to your Country Squire!
