Today i was playing around with this radio flyer wagon and the big handle attached to the wagon hit me on my ear. It has been a few hours now and my ear still hurts really bad. Is it possible for bones to break in your ear ?
There are no bones in your ear. Only cartilidge. And its possible to damage it. No way to know for sure unless you get an Xray.

Uhm no, Your ear is cartilage. You must on bruised it on something.

Well your ear doesn’t have any bones in it but you might have bruised it
I would ice it and see if that helps

Uhhh no? From what I know about the ear, its just cartilage. And the closest bones to your ear, are your around your skull/is your skull. Its probably just sore. If you can still hear out of it then you didnt damage the ear drum.

Yes, you will need to get a cast to wear on your ear. Otherwise, blood supply to ear will cease and ear will die off- which would lead to ear amputation.

you probably will have a sore ear for a few days and may even bruise, but did you break anything?………probably not, it’s just pretty sore and feels like its broken. put an ice pack on it and i hope you feel better soon hun.

i was playing basketball when i dove for the ball and the guy next to me trips and his whole body lands on my head and slams my head into the ground. i landed right on my ear, and it bled a little bit and my ear hurt for aa\bout a week, but it got better. You will be fine, it might be a few days before it feels better but it wont be deformed or anything.

Your outer ear consists of cartilage, not bones. Any bones are in your inner ear. They’re really tiny, pretty far in there, and would require a considerable amount of force to break them. I’m sure you’re okay and that it just hurt really bad or maybe you bruised your outer ear.
I would take some pain medication (Tylenol is good for minor aches).
If your outer ear still hurts try putting some ice in a Ziploc baggie and holding it on your ear for 10-15 minutes. Give it a break for 10-15 minutes and then repeat it a few times (if it still hurts). And, if you hear anything strange like the "ocean" or ringing, you should see a doctor.
I hope you feel better!
